Sometimes I like the one price quotation - Price? $8000
I suppose 6302 hours isn't bad at all for a big air cooled generator, but it now means I have to swap in the new engine that we got because this generator was considered a lemon.

I do too if possible ,I find it stops a lot of headaches.
Such as someone being super happy with the price but not happy that the labor is 3/4 of it etc
OK, the more I work on the Escape's 1.6 Ecoboost the more I come to believe that whoever designed the engine must have hated mechanics.
To properly find TDC (keyed crankshaft? what's that?) you have to insert a timing pin into the side of the engine and rotate it until the counterweight contacts the pin. OK, could be simpler- but not too bad, right? Sorry, did we neglect to mention that we're putting the hole you thread that timing pin into underneath (not, below... covered up by... ) the bracket that supports the RHS intermediate driveshaft bearing?
The Haynes manual says to pull the whole RHS driveshaft if you want to get to the timing pin hole. Thankfully I figured out that you can (with some maneuvering) remove just the bracket so you can get to the timing pin hole... but it definitely was a lot more work than it could have been!
Rant #1: We have what I assume is an older Chromecast on the TV at the shop. Last night I wanted to put on the last bit of Sebring while I was out there but I can't cast Peacock to it because apparently Peacock no longer works on that generation of Chromecast. Because apparently receiving an MPEG stream from the internet, decoding it, and sending it to an HDMI port is all of a sudden different now? berkeley yourself. So I thought, no problem, I'll just do a screen cast because that works. Except it won't cast the video to the TV because of DRM protections. Nevermind that it's the exact same content that would be streamed to the TV. berkeley yourself again.
Rant #2: Somehow, I wound up being the person who is in charge of putting the entries on the volunteer signup for our fish fry. I started it to wrangle the volunteers for my specific area of responsibility and others thought it would be a good idea for them as well. No problem, I said, just give me the hours for your shifts, the number of people for each, and a one-sentence description of the job. Saturday morning, I woke up to an email from a couple who signed up and then showed up to volunteer at someone else's area and that person told them they already had all the help they needed (from people that just showed up, not people that signed up) and sent them away. So now word will get around that we are lying when we are asking for help. And in the meantime, I was getting my ass kicked in my area because we were so busy and would have given my left arm for extra volunteers. If these people would have told the folks who showed up to help to wait for a minute and then gone and asked around to find another job for them, we would have had something for them to do. But, no, they just essentially threw two volunteers in the trash because they couldn't see past their own nose.
Popped open FB marketplace to check out wheels for sale.
I dont think I saw a single post that had the technical information you'd want if you are buying wheels. Sure, if its off a specific make/mode (I.e. "2004 350Z wheels") I can go figure it out from there, but so many are just '18" wheels'. No width, offset, tire size, bolt pattern, etc.
Are these sellers successful?
In reply to TravisTheHuman :
Yes, I see a lot of ads that say things like Tiers for sale, universal pattern, fit everything.
And usually over priced

Yes, they are. Because an equal amount of idiots will just buy them for whatever reason (price, they look cool, 18" is right, etc.) Then when they don't fit they'll just relist them.
berkeley you American Airlines, i didnt want to be home and sleep in my own bed before my next trip out friday.
Thanks for leaving me stranded without the offer of a hotel, food, or rental car, you colossally incompetent douchebags. For the love of Luigi, if my tax dollars go to another bailout of your E36 M3ty company, they better claw back bonuses from your executives, and throw them out on their asses penniless.
If sharing that I'm feeling anxious and depressed means that I need to comfort YOU, then I'm just going to bottle that E36 M3 back up.
The SCCA must be having a lot of meetings today. I lived in a small town that had "clubs", the clubs were segregated through your ancestors and everything required membership and a member to give the okay. For some they really didn't think about the exclusions rather here is where my neighbors and family goes to eat and grab a beer. The older generation started to pass and the new generation stopped going and while they tried to open up the exclusions, you can't expect the small population to disregard the past exclusions and in addition take the place of a past generation that outnumbered them by a lot. Most of those clubs are all closed, either turning into another restaurant distancing themselves from the past or just abandoned. Hopefully those who support innovation and less exclusion are at the forefront, of the next steps of the SCCA.

You would be correct. They don't know, they don't measure, they don't even know how to measure.
Which makes trying to find 5x100 FWD wheels a total pain in the ass.
Complacency. It'll getcha' every time. Simple thing to remove the battery from the front of this mini New Holland tractor. While undoing the positive terminal, I managed to use my wedding ring as a conductor between it, the 1/2" wrench, and the negative terminal. That SOB got hot. I have a nice ring of par-boiled skin around my finger now. Thankfully I had the presence of mind to get the ring off almost instantly. A small chunk of my gold ring is burned away too. First berkeleying thing I'm going to do is orient the bolts in different planes.
I am getting really god damned tired of ghost kitchens.
I dont want a burger from Denny's. I dont like Denny's. I was willing to try The Burger Den, until I found out it was a berkeleyin Denny's

Yep, that got me too. I did that exactly once. I was irritated when I got my food and it had a berkeleying Denny's receipt stapled to the bag. It was the most mediocre burger I've ever had. And it was more expensive than 5 Guys.
berkeley you Denny's.
I need to use my laptop to update some AiM settings in the race car, getting it ready for an upcoming event. I'm now over an hour in on waiting for my laptop to complete a Windows update I told it to delay until later. I detest Microsoft with a depthless passion.

At least Denny's is allegedly a diner. During the covid lockdown Chuck E Cheese here started delivering under an alias.
Had to ride in a car with a coworker today. The "news" radio that he turned on was... well, it is unbelievable how many falsehoods were said in 10 minutes on it. Things that are easy to verify, and don't even pass the smell test if you have no idea what is going on. Wow.

Beware also The Meltdown and Meltropolis, both Denny's ghost kitchens for $15 grilled cheese
I think Smokey Bones operated under the wing connection. Chili's and Fridays both have them too.
I've taken to looking up addresses of weird sounding restaurant names in the delivery apps just to see what it really is
Well, that was a first. I wasted two hours of my time looking at a car for my parents, and told the guy we would take it. Zero qualms about paying his asking price, happy to pop around the corner to my bank and do the deal cash money. Nope, he has two buyers coming to look this weekend. I don't understand - we're buyers now, here to pay full asking. You advertised for a price, I will pay that price. Turns out he thinks he can get more, but won't come out and say it, or commit to how much or give a price or anything. You're already over the average for the years and it needs new tires and a tail light and a headlight and has scratches on the interior plastic. I just liked the low mileage and good maintenance. Thanks for wasting my time. I have enough to do without dipE36 M3s out here burning hours of my day. No wonder you've been unemployed for so long. Get a job and learn how to use time wisely. And learn to accept fifteen thousand berkeleying dollars that someone is trying to hand you for something that you advertised you would sell for that price. I hope he learns the reliability of the average Internet car buyer and never sells this berkeleying thing.
