The "Live in Japan" is a pretty awesome dont know the sides though.
I'd have to go with Iron Maiden's Somewhere in Time, which was the first I bought.
Either side works, really.
Heaven Can Wait
(B) 5. The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner 6. Stranger in a Strange Land 7. Déjà Vu 8. Alexander the Great
The Clash - London Calling Side one (then 2-3-4) The Damned - Black Album Dag Nasty - Can I Say The Specials - Specials
I love me classic rock so I couldn't just choose one Album side, I'd most likely have to pick disc one of Mullet Rock v.1.
A few albums I can listen to from beginning to end that are more modern and I believe pretty damn awesome are as follow:
1) Rancid - And out come the wolves. 2) Blink 182 - Dude Ranch 3) Blink 182 - Blink 182
Most new artists/albums have 1-2 good songs and the rest of the album is pure garbage. The new Kings of Leon album is a perfect example. Songs 3 & 4 are great, rest of the album sucks ( Song 3 - Sex on fire, song 4 - use somebody).
Rancid Lets go and Mighty Mighty Bosstones question the answers are a few putinandgo albums of that genre
no argument from me on anything posted so far. not sure i can support corey's assertion that "just got paid" plus four versions of the chicken dance can stand with side 1 of led zeppelin 4. how is it that the youngest poster in this thread was able to pull this one out before all the old farts? he must have a cool dad.
I'm not much of a Springsteen fan but Wild the Innocent and the E Street Shuffle: Side 1:
1. "The E Street Shuffle"
Side 2:
George Benson-Breezin' Side 1: 1. Breezin' 2. This Masquerade 3. Six to Four Side 2: 1. Affirmation 2. So This is Love? 3. Lady

BRUCE!
I was thinking about side 1 of Darkness On The Edge Of Town, or side 1 of Born To Run. Both are strong.
I was bored enough to dig through my vinyl last night. I have a new personal #1. MINUTEMEN - Double Nickels on the Dime, Side "C"
C1 You Need The Glory (2:00)
C2 The Roar Of The Masses Could Be Farts (1:21)
C3 Mr. Robot's Holy Orders (3:00)
C4 West Germany (1:49)
C5 The Politics Of Time (1:08)
C6 Themselves (1:18)
C7 Please Don't Be Gentle With Me (0:46)
C8 Nothing Indeed (1:20)
C9 No Exchange (1:54)
C10 There Ain't E36 M3 On TV Tonight (1:35)
C11 This Ain't No Picnic (1:54)
C12 Spillage (1:48)
TAKE THAT, ROCK EPIC BISHES!!!
While I'm not a huge GnR fan, their first album blew people's heads off. Especially the first few songs:
It ain't no Willie Dee.......but then again, no one can compare to the undaground masta!

I made my own awesome Bruce mix. I took Backstreets and Jungleland and tacked them onto the end of The Wild.. and it sounds like they belong on the album..
Disc 2 1. Smokin' - Boston 2. Flirtin' With Disaster - Molly Hatchet 3. Living After Midnight - Judas Priest 4. I Wanna Rock - Twisted Sister 5. Metal Health (Bang Your Head) - Quiet Riot 6. Godzilla - Blue Oyster Cult 7. Frankenstein - Edgar Winter Group 8. Carry on Wayward Son - Kansas 9. We're an American Band - Grand Funk Railroad 10. Don't Bring Me Down - Electric Light Orchestra 11. Takin' Care of Business - Bachman-Turner Overdrive 12. Long Cool Woman (In a Black Dress) - The Hollies 13. Rockin' Down the Highway - The Doobie Brothers 14. Black Betty - Ram Jam 15. School's Out - Alice Cooper 16. Bat Out of Hell - Meat Loaf 17. Hold Your Head Up - Argent
"B" side of Revolver
"Good Day Sunshine" "And Your Bird Can Sing" "For No One" "Doctor Robert" "I Want To Tell You" "Got To Get You Into My Life" "Tomorrow Never Knows"
That's a classic example of a strong album side.
On the other hand, the following album-side-length stretch is riotously good; first six tracks off of "First Rays Of The New Rising Sun"
"Freedom" – 3:27 "Izabella – 2:50 "Night Bird Flying" – 3:50 "Angel" – 4:22 "Room Full of Mirrors" – 3:20 "Dolly Dagger" – 4:44

It do not have a copy of this anymore, but I played this thing to death 15 years ago. Great Album with great songwriting and performances without any consideration of sales, or perfection, or the record company man. And its WAY BETTER THAN THE EAGLES.
I vote side one of Ragged Glory: a Neil Young and Crazy Horse fuzzfest. I think side two falls apart, which is why I nominate it for "best side". All the other "albums" listed here are solid examples of their genre all the way through the recording, even if you hate the genre. Ragged Glory is one side Ragged Glory and one side ragged leftovers.
1) Country Home; 2) White Line; 3) berkeleyin' Up; 4) Over And Over; 5) Love To Burn.
Okay...I apologize for ignoring the music my own generation made.
The Clash, but not "London Calling"..although that's great stuff.
Side one of "Give `em Enough Rope".
1). Safe European Home
2.) English Civil War
3.) Tommy Gun
4.) Julie's Been Working for the Drug Squad
5.) Last Gang in Town
If "Drug Stabbing Time" had been on that side, it'd be the most perfect Punk side ever.
It's too long to list each side by side but Songs in the Key of Life-Stevie Wonder.
Herbie Hancock: Sextant: 1. Rain Dance 2. Hidden Shadows 3. Hornets
Head Hunters Side A: 1. Chameleon 2. Watermelon Man
Side B: 1. Sly 2. Vein Meter
Thrust: Side A: 1. Palm Grease 2. Actual Proof Side B: 1. Butterfly 2. Spank-a-Lee

I love that song, and all of L.Z.'s Tolkien songs. But I have been known to be a bit of a 'Ringer'...
Even though my LSR number is 2112 I need to go with side one of Moving Pictures. Tom Sawyer, Red Barchetta, YYZ, and Limelight. I was listening to that side this morning.
As for AC/DC, I'd have to go with the B side of Let There Be Rock. Rosie is their greatest song ever. I've destroyed speakers to it.
Maiden is Powerslave, hands down.
I have most of the albums listed in this thread, but I'm going back to list the ones I'm missing in the collection.

I like that record a lot, but I'd put "Talking Book" ahead of it. YMMV, of course.
I would have to say that Sublime's self titled album is a puyitinandgo album for sure. Never seen it in vinyl, so I'm not sure if it ever had sides. If you can handle songs that are almost exclusively about drugs, sex and guns... Pop it it and rock any party.
