Yeah, a whopping 145HP. One popped up in my search for cheap stickshift cars nearby- surprisingly it doesn't look as bad as I generally think Probes do...

Just found the ad. Gonna keep that in mind as a backup in case the S10 doesn’t work out for the challenge.

If you need me to go look at it just let me know, Berea is about 45 minutes or so South of me so it's a bit of a haul for you.

Unfortunately I'm just poking around and seeing what there is, we realistically can't afford to get anything else at the moment and it will be toward the end of the year before I could even remotely seriously consider something else. As much as I think the Infiniti isn't nearly as much fun to drive, it is fairly reliable and very flexible in what it can do.

Thanks, I’ll let you know. Unless something is horribly wrong with the truck after it’s test drive yesterday, I’ll be sticking with it. A Probe turbo seems like a good backup that’d be Gastropod legal.

Those are rookie boost numbers. You gotta get those boost numbers up!
Seriously, the damned F2T is a dog unless its ingesting ALL THE BOOST!

Some people claim that they're underrated and make more like 145 to the wheels. I dunno if I believe it.
I still want one though.
A roommate had a Probe GT with the turbo back when it was new. There is no way that was only 145 hp.
I have a relativity mint all original MX6 GT w/ lowish miles I’d totally give to a good home on these forums if someone was interested in challenging it?
Only caveat is I think it needs a new master clutch cylinder and currently doesn’t shift into gear.

Now, would be a good time for swankforce1's expertise or possibly dansxr2.

WHAT?
I'd 100% do that.

Same here.
I’m in Denver and 100% serious.
I moved and it needs a better home...
If someone is up for sharing the effort and logistics getting it, please PM me.
For what it’s worth it’s an 89 red, grey interior. 100% stock and not a ton of miles.
Bought it a couple years ago from an estate sale for a really good price but then never really drove it much.
Looks just like this one:
Let me know!

If I were remotely close to you I'd be all over that, it looks like exactly what I need these days and at a price that I could actually afford. :P Unfortunately I'm half the country away in Kentucky, so hopefully someone closer will take you up on it!
TIL that as recently as 1998, you could still reach across the passenger's side of a car, turn the key and start the engine without your foot on the brake pedal.
Even (gasp!) in a Volvo.

Oh man that brings back memories. My wife and I were married in 1997, the first car we bought together was an 88 MX-6. That thing was ragged out but all we could afford. 4 cylinder turbo charged with MT. Champagne color. Thanks.
