Where Did Your User ID Come From?

The name of the dorm I lived in while studying in Birmingham, England (which happened to be about 1/2 mile from the Cadbury factory).

My first car was an 86 Chevy Monte Carlo. I ended up swapping out the interior and bumpers from a Super Sport. Since the car was not a true SS I called it the Pseudo Sport.

I have only ever owned air cooled vehicles (VW, Corvair, Honda motorcycle).

No Porsche's though, which is what most assume when they see the ID. I do drive around a water cooled Mazda B2000 sometimes, but it technically isn't mine.

I was driving a second gen RX-7 when I set-up my user ID and since I can’t think of any good contortions for my RX-8, I just kept it.

Back in the primordereal ooze days of the internet, I frequented the Corral.net site. Needing a name at the time, I had my Ranger pickup daily driver and being raised in a "Ford" family, multiple 302's around the house.... So I took the Ranger name and merged it with the new fangled 5.0 moniker from the Mustang and have kept it since.

Originally PseudoSport came up with mine. I wanted to join a car forum he was on back in college and I wanted a different name. So he suggested SyntheticBlinkerFluid.

Since then my online names are SyntheticBlinkerFluid or SBF.

Initials plus old address.
This combo dates back to about 1995 when I got my first AOL username.

I don't know where mine came from. I don't think it is the car I own.

The failed attempts at burnouts that result in smoke pouring out from the clutch/trans make me laugh hysterically. Hence mine. I've had many others since the dawn of high speed internet, but none as solid as Clutchsmoke.

My old one was "ArtOfRuin", a lyric from a Lamb of God song that only one person here recognized. I changed it to RexSeven after I bought my first RX-7 because everyone else thought my name was Art.

I worked a lot of years managing a hobby shop. All the kids used to call me the toy man when they saw me in public. It stuck. The 01 is because toyman is always taken.
