Anyone else gone and seen it? I went last night, absolutely loved it. It was just as funny as the original, which I watched Monday to prepare myself. There were bits that had me just about in tears from laughter, particularly the end credit scene. Also, as a GRM'er, I got a good laugh out of there being a character named Berkeley, whom Woody Harrelson was usually cursing out. The action scenes were much more polished and stylish, which makes a certain bit of sense as the characters have now been killing zombies side-by-side for ten years and gotten much more proficient at it. I will say that the the plot in this one bordered on near non-existent, but the action and humor carried it along pretty well. And the film also pretty heavily features what may have been the world's nicest Pontiac Trans Sport "dustbuster" van pretty prominently (you even catch glimpses of the usual warped dashboard), which made me laugh. All in all, I'd say it was worth the 10 year wait. Would have preferred that it wasn't a 10 year wait, but at least it wasn't a disappointment after all that time. Hopefully its not another decade before the 3rd one.

GRM reviews are the only ones I trust.

I often find I enjoy movies proportional to the enthusiasm of the actors. Woody harrellson looks like he's having about as much fun as legally allowed, anywhere. Loved this movie.

And that end scene. I heard a rumour that it was supposed to be something else originally. Not sure which version would have been better. The one we got or the one that was hinted.

In reply to Mndsm :

Yeah, I'm not sure how much of the film is Woody Harrellson acting and how much of it is just Woody Harrellson being Woody Harrellson. Also, some of Emma Stone's facial reactions to things are absolutely hysterical (most of them involving Madison)

Jesus, Madison. That girl deserves an Oscar for that E36 M3 show.

We went and saw it Friday night, it was excellent!  You're absolutely right about the plot but who goes to a zombie comedy for plot development?

Woody definitely hates minivans surprise

Was the other one supposed to have Dan Akroyd in it? Because my friend Cody said he heard Dan Akroyd was supposed to be in the film but we didn't spot him anywhere
