Here we have a Jaguar Mark 1 MKI MK1 top end. I believe it to be an early 1956, 2.4liter with twin Solex carbs and from a 8:1 compression motor. The head was dissembled all parts were glass beaded to clean. Head is flat with only very minor pitting a standard gasket should seal fine. You may wish to have it cut to increase the compression ratio like the factory did to 9:1 on some models. The carburetors were not touched they should be rebuilt. The butterflies still turn. You get the. 1) Bare head. 2) Camshafts. 3) Intake with water inlets. 4) Cam covers. 5) Twin Solex down draft carbs. 6) The three bags listed below. 7) Oil filler cap. In the bags are. 1) All Valves, dual springs, retainers and keepers. 2) Camshaft bearing tops. 3) Old cam bearings, shims and buckets. Here's the info off the body. H002790 Car # S940466 Body H002790 Engine BB2388?8 *THIS NUMBER ON HEAD TOO!!! see pict. Gearbox SB1789 SHIPPING: I will box it up and send you an invoice. It's heavy. Local pick up is fine feel free to e-mail questions but i don't have anymore info then whats listed above. Some links to decode. http://www.car-nection.com/jagbase/engines1.htm http://www.car-nection.com/jagbase/mki.htm
