CB 1100

I was just reading about the new Honda CB 1100. I looks very nice, but I wish Honda would introduce a middle-weight version. I am not all that into liter bikes.

I think it's about 87 HP so not exactly the hottest ride out there. I had hope for the thing but the old 919 is more interesting, I think, although there's probably some folks out there that want a bit of all-around grunt with easy service and don't care about a lot else. The issue with that is the question of just how many of those folks exist.

I'm with you there. But that's what a Triumph Bonneville is for.

I like it but for the $9000-is price tag, I can have a couple cool old bikes that look similar and are 9/10ths as reliable.

I didn't like it at first, but seeing a couple of magazine articles with good photo's have changed my mind on its looks and now I actually like it a lot. Same vibe with the NT700 or whatever they call it, ugly in pics but not so bad in person.

I'd also really love a middleweight version at 2/3 the price with the new 500 or 700 motor in it...

You could also have two used Bonnie's for that $9k. It isn't like they have made huge changes to it other then adding FI to it a few years ago.

Yeah... but they you'd be stuck riding an old new Bonneville. None of the character of the originals, more weight, crappy stock suspensions, and sewing machine if grunty motors.

I really like the cb, there is a rumor that yamaha might be bringing the sr400 over here in the near future, I guess we can only hope

In the past just saying the words "Liter bike" conjure memories of triple digit wheelies with race bred ergonomics. Erase all that, this thing should be so tame.... maybe lame by some standards. Even ZX14's are easy to ride. its all about that right wrist

The CB1100 is on my "short list", I like bikes that don't look like robot aliens.

But what does WMTC equate to? 35 in top gear on a banked circuit for a full tank? Not trying to be a smartass, but a quick and dirty Goiogle search brings up numerous references to a Christian radio station.
