Potential challenge car.

Ive bought a 1999 grand prix with a built motor and speed parts but bad trailing arm mounts.

I just went and looked at a 1997 grand am circle car with a full cage and a bad trans. Comes with a quad4 motor, needs some rust repair in the floor and the rockers are gone but the trailing arm mounts look solid.

If i read everything right i can drop the cradle and swap the motor and trans/struts ect all in one go?

Are the quad4 and 3800 harness and ECM anything close to each other? I can of course pull the whole harness from the grand prix,

But it sure would be easier if the harness and PCM were compatible with a few changes?

Also... This car has a cage that goes all the way to a loop that runs through tbe fender and up all the way around the radiator saddle and back all the way to the bumpers. Do you think i could just run a couple new bars down to the trailing arm mounts?

Any help appreciated!

Harness and ecm are radically different.

Need pictures of the cage.

Whats the end goal?

Goal is to go silly fast stupid cheap and very safely.

I was misinformed on the grand am and grand prix sharing engine cradles? So that would not be a direct swap. But they were both available wkth the 4t60 so my engine and trans should fit in tbe grand am cradle?
