My son has moved up from quarter midgets to bandoleros. My old set up table is way to small for the bando. Time to move to the floor to do my scaling. Any diy suggestions on the cheap to get a level surface on my shop floor (it is not very level)?

Do you need a level floor, or just level pads for the wheels to sit on?

The cheapest way would be to use shims and mark them for re-use (I use 12"x12" commercial vinyl tiles. I have the squares painted on the floor, and each one marked for thickness- 1 tile, 3 tiles, etc.)

The tiles are a great suggestion. I am using shipping scales I bought from ebay for $40 each. They are about 12" x 12" w/ 360# capacity each. They work great but require a very flat and smooth surface. Time for a trip to Lowes. Thanks

Another advantage to the tiles-

If you put at least 2 on every corner, you can add a dab of grease between 2 layers. This lts the steering rotate with almost zero resistance, just like the ridiculously expensive professional turntables (though I doubt you will need it for the bandoleros).
