We've had our current 2007 F-150 Xl 4x4 for about 5 years. It's a decent truck. It accomplishes what I want most of the time, but honestly it's not my forever truck. Even with an extended cab my family of 4 is cramped ( my son is 6'2"). The 3.31 rear end ratio and 4 speed transmission aren't great for anything but highway cruising especially in the mountains. We took a 1k mile trip last week up to the Eastern Sierras and I decided that it was time to look for a new truck.
I did a bunch of research, test drove a Ram and Silverado, then we stepped into the Ford dealer. I asked if they had a F-150 Tremor on the lot. My salesperson said they had one and it was in the showroom. We walked in and I immediately fell in love. Then I sat in it and was amazed at how comfortable the interior was compared to our old truck and the ones we test drove. We took a test drive and that sealed the deal. It's a '23 Tremor in Avalanche (Chalk gray) with orange accents, 3.5 EcoBoost (400hp/500tq), 10 speed, with the 402a (Tremor High) package, tow package, and a handful of other options. We signed a contract and pick it up this week. It's been 22 years since I bought a new truck. I can't wait to drive it again.
5.5 second 0-60. It's .1 second quicker than my Cayman.

Yeah but put a tandem axle car trailer and 3000 lbs of lumber and block on it and it'll take........7 seconds.

In reply to A 401 CJ :
Right? The new engine/trans produces 2.55x the torque at the axle than the old truck does.

That's preposterous. It's not even the fastest F150.
We picked it up today. It's going to take a little getting used to. Its really comfortable. It just floats over most bumps and ruts. The exhaust note sounds like a V8 when you get on it. I'm not sure how they managed that.
One of our friends asked where we going to go with it. I told her "Any berkeleying place we want to!"

We took a drive to my favorite car photo spot last night. While we were out we spotted a tom of deer, a few wild pigs and a pair of bobcats.
Beautiful truck - I love the color. That'll serve you and your family well for years to come!
Congrats! Beautiful truck! We love our 2022 502a with the 3.5.
These trucks are incredible. 84FSP and I managed 15.5 mpg towing an integra to the 22 challenge, and we weren't going slow.
Congrats man! They really are comfortable trucks. I love my Raptor and all of its creature comforts. I hate that it's a lemon but I'll be getting another one down the road. Truly some great DDs. After spending a week in a Jeep Grand Wagoneer, Ford did a great job on these compared to the competitions body on frame.
Thanks DirtyBird222. We're really enjoying it. The ride and interior are more comfortable than our 2018 Explorer Platinum. It's exponentially better than our 07 in every way.
I read your thread about your Raptor. It's really a shame that they couldn't resolve the problems with it. I hope you can find a suitable replacement that doesn't have any issues.

Yea I really hate that it transpired like it has. They are taking it back next week and I'm getting some cash back in my pocket. I've already located a dealer that sells them at MSRP so I'm in the process of ordering another one.
Honestly a Tremor is a great deal. Better towing than the Raptor and cheaper with the ability to add all of the same creature comforts. Plus they look great too!
A good friend of mine got a 22 Tremor last summer, he loves it.
