Car Catcher: An Aston Martin Time Machine

Just 14,000 miles, a digital dash and those sweet pop-up headlights. This 1984 Aston Martin Lagonda has the makings of the perfect luxury '80s time machine.

Available on eBay Motors, this Series 2 example is powered by a 5.3-liter V8 that produces a whopping 290 horsepower.

Sure, maybe speed isn't the Lagonda's strong suit, but you will look awesome no matter where you go. (You'll look awesome when parked, too.)

Insuring your classic car investment may cost less than you think. Learn more.

Just looking at the photos and, yeah, those tires look like cartoon car tires.

More than the tires, I don't think the visual design has aged well.  It looks like you are viewing an 80's  Bentley Mulsanne on a television with the aspect ratio messed up.

The good (or perhaps perverse) news is that the 5.3 can be taken to over 400hp a la the X-Pack package found on the V8 Vantage.

This car needs over 400 horsepower.
