Yes, this particular 1961 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 3.8-Litre Roadster is said to be desirable because it is an early example and comes with a numbers-matching engine, but what really makes this E-Type stand out is one of its previous owners: legendary driver Bobby Rahal.
The listing states that this Jaguar was originally finished in Opalescent Bronze with a beige interior, but now sports a black-on-black exterior and interior color combination.
As well, this E-Type is said to have "received a thorough cosmetic and mechanical restoration by California Jaguar specialist Richard Darnell."
A toolbox, mallet, grease gun and "extensive documentation including maintenance records and photographs of the restoration process" are included in the sale.
