Out of the 65 Series I Lotus Elise Motorsport models built worldwide, only 12 were built as left-hand-drive models and imported into the United States. This 2000 Lotus Elise Motorsport is one of those rare cars.
Powered by a 205-horsepower version of the Rover K Series engine that is mated to a five-speed, close-ratio transmission, the Elise Motorsport is said to only weigh 1650 pounds thanks to its “lightweight composite body and aluminum chassis.”
As a fully prepared race car, the Lotus also comes equipped with a full roll cage, carbon fiber rear wing, polycarbonate windshield, and a fire suppression system.
