Car Catcher: One of 12 Left-Hand-Drive Lotus Elise Motorsport

Sponsored article presented by Wire Wheel Classic Sports Cars.

Not only is this 2000 Lotus Elise Motorsport offered by Wire Wheel one of only 65 examples worldwide, but it's also only one of 12 left-hand-drive models built by Lotus and imported into the United States.

Weighing a reported 1650 pounds and powered by a 1.8-liter Rover K Series engine said to be good for 205 horsepower, this Motorsport Elise comes finished in a blue and white paint scheme reminiscent of the Elan Sprint.

Other features of the Elise include a full roll cage, an adjustable suspension, an electrical emergency cut-off switch and a data logging-capable instrument cluster.

Insuring your classic car investment may cost less than you think. Learn more.
