Coming soon: A new museum dedicated to the Chevrolet Corvair

More love for the Chevrolet Corvair? The Corvair Museum of America plans to help celebrate the rear-engine Chevy with a museum planned to be built in Hastings, Nebraska.

The location will feature a centerpiece called the “Yenko Stinger Experience,” which is set to be comprised of a replica of the dealership where Don Yenko created the now legendary COPO Stingers.

In addition to highlighting “11 different types of Corvairs, representing all 10 model years,” the museum plans to have a six-month rotating display of various Yenko cars.

Other features planned include hands-on exhibits, an automotive library, a conference space, an Airbnb and an event space capable of hosting 200 people.

The Corvair Museum of America, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is currently seeking donations to help make the museum a reality.
