Hilton Head Island Concours Postponed Until 2021

Officials for this one held out hope, regularly releasing updates stating that the fall show would go on. After all, the Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance & Motoring Festival serves as more than a celebration of the automobile: It operates as a fundraiser as well.

On May 29, festival officials called it:

These new challenges have forced big decisions,” states a letter signed by event President Lindsey Harrell and Chairman Merry Harlacher. “Our dedicated Board of Directors has contemplated numerous options for our 2020 event. After much internal consideration and review and important consultations with our strategic partners and leadership from Hilton Head Island and Savannah, we have decided we cannot, prudently, host our event this fall.”

COVID-19 has not made anyone’s year easy,” Harrell tells Classic Motorsports. “No one has gotten through this unscathed. But we will come out the other side stronger. We’re excited to start working on putting together what we can only hope will be our best event yet in what we think of as one of the best places on earth!”

The 2021 festival will take place October 29-November 7. Watch for updates on the event’s website as well as its Facebook, Instagram and Twitter pages.
