Now you can drive Miss Daisy yourself: Mecum offers V10-powered Shelby Cobra prototype

Intended to succeed the Ford GT, the 2004 Ford Shelby Cobra Concept—codenamed Miss Daisy by Ford Special Projects—was constructed with the “full cooperation and participation” of the late Carroll Shelby.

Unlike the original Cobra, Miss Daisy is powered by a 6.4-liter V10 rated for 605 horsepower and 501 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine—one of four built by Ford Advanced Powertrain—features dry-sump lubrication, dual overhead cams and 40 valves.

We drove this unique Cobra back in 2019, but now you have the chance to drive Miss Daisy for yourself: It’s going across the auction block at Mecum’s Monterey sale this November.
