Put-in-Bay celebrates MG, Triumph and 70 years of racing for 2022

1952 featured the very first road race at Put-in-Bay, back when most machines on the track were simply sports cars instead of the classic and vintage machines we know them as today.

Now, 70 years later, this year’s Put-in-Bay Vintage Sports Car Races are set to celebrate both MG and Triumph from September 20-23, again on Ohio’s South Bass Island.

As in previous years, the 2022 event will include a car show and tours of the original road course (on Tuesday), followed by the races (on Wednesday and Thursday) at the Put-in-Bay Airport.

This event is not all that far from me - Maybe a 3 Hr Drive and then a ferry ride..

I hope to make it to the vintage races someday.... till then Pitt Race and Nelson Ledges.
