Saturday, April 12, marked the third time the MG Car Club of Florida hosted their All European Car Show. The site was the American Muscle Car Museum in Melbourne, Florida. This site included not only a truly unique, 450-car private collection, but the grounds were designed to be the perfect venue for car events.
More than 100 cars showed up from most of the car-producing nations of Europe. From a strange Citroen wagon never officially brought into this country to oddballs like an Anglo-American hybrid Allard, this show had a little something for everyone.
More common marques like MG, Triumph and Jaguar were also represented. Surprisingly, perhaps the largest group represented was McLaren, as roughly a dozen of these sleek, supercars were in attendance.
The entry fee was $45 and included a T-shirt, poster and entrance into the museum. The trophies were well done, and we were thrilled to receive one for our recent Bugeye Sprite project as it took the Sprite/Midget class.
What made this show truly special was the fantastic venue, perfect weather, meticulous organization by the club and the fascinating variety of common and truly unique classis European cars.
