John is an old friend of ours, so hopefully someone out there can help.

Don’t worry, this 55-year-old race tire isn’t going to be put back on track. It will live out its life on a pedestal in a place of honor.
BFGoodrich introduced its Radial T/A in 1970 as the first radial street tire used in road racing competition. The Radial T/A appeared on the B.F.Goodrich Tirebird, an A-Sedan Pontiac Firebird entered in the 24 Hours of Daytona and Sebring endurance races, as well as selected SCCA Nationals and Trans-Am grids.

The reason for the acquisition of an original BFGoodrich Radial T/A? To complete a display of early BFGoodrich race tires at Tire Rack’s headquarters in South Bend, Indiana.
John Rastetter is the man on the hunt. You might remember him as Grassroots Motorsports’ “Dear John” author. Rastetter began his career in 1971 managing a B.F.Goodrich company store in Milwaukee and is completing it with the popular tire retailer as its Tire Information Ambassador.
Specifically, he’s after an original BFGoodrich Radial T/A in one of these sizes: FR60-15, GR60-15 or LR60-15. It needs to have the straight-rib tread design as pictured here.
