We Build a Body Jig

The body on our Tornado Typhoon was well made, but once off the frame we found it to be rather flimsy. To make our restoration work easier, we decided that we should make a body jig to support the body and later the body/frame combination.

A quick trip to our local Lowe’s netted us the materials we would need. About an hour with a circular saw, some glue and a few screws and we had a sharp looking wheeled table of sorts that we could mount the body to. The wheels also made the table portable, so we could wheel it into and out of the shop as needed. After all, this isn’t our only project.
