Other than the motor, how was it to drive the trike?
During search for old English Ford speed equipment we met a guy named Chris Towner, who vintage races a 1939 Morgan Trike with the same Aquaplane equipped E93A Ford engine that we have in our Tornado Typhoon.
We were anxious to look it over and try it out. That chance came on Labor Day weekend, as we were both going to be at the Lime Rock vintage festival.
Of course, it is hard to compare a lightweight Morgan Trike with a four wheeled special, but it did give us a point of reference.
Not only did the engine look cool with its full complement of Aquaplane equipment, but the Trike was surprisingly pleasant and powerful to drive. Power wasn’t mind numbing, but it was adequate.
We are hoping that our Typhoon will only weigh a couple hundred pounds more and thus we get similar power to weight ratio.
We were also happy to learn that Chris has found the drivetrain to be pretty bulletproof.

Other than the motor, how was it to drive the trike?
Yeah, curious about the handling and braking. I'm even more curious about the new one actually.
I would try one of those in a heartbeat. I do miss the big V-twin on the front bumper.
