The windshield did not want to go in the first time we tried it. This time around, we took some advice from our friends at Mini Mania and heated the rubber windshield gasket to make it more pliable. We threw the surround in a hot tub and cooked it at 104 degrees for a couple of hours.
After struggling for hours the first time, with the now heated and more pliable gasket, the windshield went in relatively easily.
We also now had Mini Mania’s tool to put the chrome bead strip in the gasket, which made this job much easier.
