Starting The Reassembly

With our shell all painted we can start reassembly on our 1967 Mini Cooper S. Since we were restoring all our subassemblies and pieces while the shell was at the body shop, this process should go relatively quickly.

A car needs to restored in a logical way, working from the inside out. We decided to start with the master cylinders, then the wiring harness. We picked up a fantastically accurate and period correct harness from British Wiring. They have been our go-to source for all British car wiring needs. Their stuff is accurate, well made and period correct.

From there, the lights can be mounted and hooked up.

At this point we plan to have the car done and on display at the Mini 56 Festival in Cherokee, North Carolina on April 15-18, 2015.

How did you keep the paint out of the captive nuts?
