Last night, we bolted on the cylinder head. There are a few problem areas on the Alfa twin cam and we addressed two of them with our install. One common problem is leaking around the the oil passageways. The fix is to install new Viton o-rings with rollpins to keep them in place. There’s also issues with certain headgaskets (Victor Reinz) where there’s leakage around the two rear coolant passageways. The fix is to dab some sealant around these holes on both sides of the headgasket.
Next up, we’ll be installing the cams and setting the valve clearances.
