We love the Christmas holiday, once we get done being nice and social with friends and family, we can spend some quality time in the garage. Our Alfa has progressed to the point where there’s a lot of little projects that can be done in discrete segments of time. We’re working on making the car nice and pretty for display at the Rolex 24 At Daytona for our project car corral.
We spent a couple of days fixing a few more dents, repainting, color sanding and buffing the Alfa.
With the exterior “done”, we can start work on the interior. We need to install the door panels and make some sort of foot rests/mats for the driver and passenger foot well.
A pair of brackets were fabricated to keep the fuel cell from moving. Now we need to enclose the cell itself in 20-gauge steel.
We used the European style side markers on our car instead of the larger U.S. versions. Since they only came in amber, we used a candy apple red hobby paint to tint the rears.
