Just got the word: Our 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera will be at Radwood’s October 14 show in Lakeland, Florida. It’s part of the Lake Mirror Classic Concours & Car Show weekend.
This one is billed as a Royalty Only event featuring a curated selection of about 50 cars. It will take place on Friday evening, and there’s no charge to spectate. Grab your Chucks, pop your collar and crank up some Wang Chung.
Now, to get ready.

We have a car to clean. It’s not a mess, but it will get some spa treatment time in the garage. Learn more about our car detailing regimen here–don’t worry, it’s nothing too difficult or expensive. Totally feel free to crib from our notes. Maybe we’ll add some more period-correct details.
We’re again putting a BMX bike on the roof, but a different one this time–like, our actual bike from 1984. But our old MCS needs a few things done to it before the big day. Click here for more on that.

Are we really assembling a playlist for the day? Of course. Stop by to enjoy some of the tunes that made 1984 so rad. (Ray Parker Jr.? Bruce Springsteen? Cyndi Lauper? Movie soundtrack!?)
But what to wear? We’re working on that, too, as we’re again turning the clock back to 1984.
