Porsches were built to be driven | Project Porsche 911

Our Porsche got rained on. It got wet. Fortunately, the world didn’t end.

The occasion? Amelia Island.

Sure, you can drive around the festivities in a boring, normal car or, you know, bring out the cool car. So we took the Porsche.

[280,000 and Counting: This Porsche 356 Has Been Around a Few Blocks]

Our first stop: PCA Werks Reunion where, despite the slightly soggy weather, a few hundred Porsches–and the people who love them–filled the greens.

And then we drove the Porsche–you know, like a car–around Amelia Island the rest of the weekend. It even made an appearance at Concours d’Lemons, although we’re not sure why. But since we scored a prime parking spot, no complaints.

Seeing this thread in the admin reminding me about somethign from last year's Amelia.

Our hotel had parking beneath part of the building. Cool, I figured, free garage parking. Score.

So I get to my room and look out the window. The Porsche was beneath my room.
