This is Herbie. My parents were VW mechanics when I was a kid and they gave me this car when I was six! I learned to drive in it at 9. I “modified” (some would say destroyed) it when I was a teenager and I’ve been dragging it around ever since. Plans include 944 alloy rear control arms, 944 brakes, widened 912 steel wheels, and a repaint to early 1960’s Porsche ivory white (sorry, no Herbie stripes) So far I’ve got a big pile of Porsche parts and a 71 Super Beetle parts car.
