1/24 Scale Model of a 1966 Rambler American “junker”. My first job was working in an all-AMC wrecking yard and I built this model to commemorate that. It’s an old JoHan kit of a 69 SC/Rambler backdated to a 66 American with the 232 I-6. Build: “Junker” Paint: Faded white with dents, smashes, and lots of rust Interior: Full of junk, dirt, and parts to other cars Wheels: Mismatched Halibrands, busted on purpose Decals: None Drivetrain: 232 I-6, NO trans (engine and driveshaft are hanging in midair, I even made the engine look like somebody started to take it out and then gave up) Details: Lots of rust, cracked windshield Build Time: 5 Hours Build Year: 1999
