Fiat 126

Actually it’s a 1991 Polish built FSM Niki (in other parts of the world it was sold as a Fiat 126.) 650cc two cylinder air cooled motor, putting out all of 23hp (basically the same drive train found in a Fiat 500.) It weighs little over half a ton and the trick to achieving any sort of pace is momentum - keep the revs up and it’s fine on the flats. Doesn’t much care for hills though. My original plan was to warm up the stock motor and go autocrossing, but I’m now considering a motorbike engine swap, funds and skill allowing. Lately, however, with fuel prices as they are, I’ve been commuting in the little beastie. Gets close to 50mpg, plus chicks tend to dig it.
