A twin to my original TR6 bought new by me in 1973. No significan modifications except for 205/15 red stripe radials. I plan on an engine rebuild with improved HP and torque by increasing compression, improving carburation and exhaust. I shouldn’t have been surprised but the reliability is dismal. It was bad on my original but even worse on this one. Probably a lot to do with many 49 year old parts. Although I have noe replaced a lot of them. Unlike many classic owners I put a lot of miles on my cars because I do multi day rallies here in California. My TR6 gets over 4000 miles each year many on twisty and questionable condition backroads in our mountain and coastal areas. Still, it’s great fun to be behind the wheel on those roads in a TR6 top down!
