I’ve had this car since high school (and since 59,000 miles), it’s been through so many different iterations since 2001 that I can’t even remember them all. It’s been on a ride from 125bhp to 340bhp (currently 251whp). Tuned, detuned, retuned… now with 210,000 miles on the odo and rust on the quarter panels. It’s never needed an engine rebuild through the past 9 years I’ve owned it, and it still has perfect leakdown. It’s a true blast to drive, and with it’s extensive diet (over 350Lbs removed from a 2,800Lb car) and handling modifications it handles like a go-kart. Still, it may have been in the trenches a bit too long, and it might soon be time to call in a replacement.
