1971 Datsun 240-Z

It was originally a ‘71 Datsun (Nissan) 240Z. She has a Jim Cook Racing “California Z” Fiberglass body with a fiberglass 1983 Porsche 928 spoiler. The engine is a 1977 280Z block with dual 1972 (Hitachi) SU carburators on aluminum 260Z manifolds. It has a 3-2-1 header, custom exhaust, 1980 Nissan electronic ignition and aftermarket electric fan. The trans is a 1974 260Z 4-speed with a recent clutch and pressure plate. The interior has 1992 Toyota Supra bucket seats, roll bar, Pioneer speakers and AM/FM CD stereo. The front wheels are 14 x 6” aluminum slots and the rears are 14 x 12” aluminums. I’ve had this car since 1992 and it has been a LOT of fun. I drive it to work in the Summer, plus I drag race it (14.9 @ 95mph) at Martin US-131 dragway.
