1973 Triumph TR6

Purchased for the princely sum of $3500, it runs absolutely excellent and the frame is rock solid. It has a smattering of upgrades including electronic ignition, H4 bulb crystal headlights, a rear tube shock conversion, and Konis all around. The body has a thin layer of Bondo throughout but is really quite solid and definitely has restoration potential. The interior leaves much to be desired with a cheap-o Grant wheel and a virtually destroyed dash panel, but everything is there and all the gauges work. Oh, yeah, the car also came with a classy black vinyl hardtop, a new shift boot, a new front grille, and an elusive blower motor in perfect working order. 7/27/08 - Picked up the car from Clintonville, WI - 127 miles from my hometown of Milwaukee. About 45 miles into the trip, the car suddenly sputtered to a stop, naturally because the electrical system quit working. A main fuse was replaced and we were good to go. Sadly the main fuse took the headlights with it, but the lighting was good enough at dusk to continue home with marker lights only. 7/28/08 - Spent the day polishing, cleaning, and replacing sections of wire/spade connectors throughout the car. Also undid the stereo wiring hackjob, which has really helped clean up the interior.
