This car started as a 5-passenger family sedan, with what was considered a potent engine in 1989, the 220hp Yamaha built 3.0 V6. It has now been massaged a little here and there to become a 600+hp caged track weapon with every ounce of unneeded mass removed. With a power to weight ratio more favorable than that of a ZR1, Gallardo or 458, wide R-comp rubber and large 13in brakes, this car is meant to haul more than just the groceries. Modifications abound, from the 3.2 forged Yamaha with extrude honed intake runners and worked heads being force fed air by a 67mm turbocharger, to the Quaife differential to apply the prodigious power, every aspect of the car has been improved for more power, more lightness, more speed. I am hoping to get invited to an upcoming UTCC. Designed to see 190+mph in the standing mile, this car is ready to attack VIR’s long straights. And with custom Fikse wheels, dedicated track oriented suspension and braking components, this SHO is also prepared to attack VIR’s 17 turns.
