1972 Datsun 240Z

This Z is a 72 chassis with a full 8 point cage with side protection and stiffening tubing throughout. It comes with a modified L28 block and a ported, large-valve E31 head. High lift adjustible valvetrain. Competition rods Wiesco pistons. Steel crank, all balanced and driven through a 5-speed to a limited slip diff. It has a high capacity alum. radiator and a remote filter/ oil cooler assy. Long tube headers and 2.5” exaust and race muffler. The suspension is adjustible coil-over sectioned and using shorter adjustible struts. Painted sparkle silver and 4 coats of candy red. Suspension Technique sway bars. Caster adjustible at front and camber plates all around. Brakes are dual master cyl with balance bar and rear bias valve. Front is modified to take vented disc and Wilwood caliper, rear take solid disc and Wilwood calipers also. Fuel system is a 16 gal Jazz fuel cell with tip over valve and holley pump pushing the fuel to a dual regulator feeding the return and triple 44mm Mikunis. It has a fiberglass body kit from the 80s that I have modified to my own design. I developed the front splitter/Airdam assy., air intakes, hood, rear hatch, rockers, bellypan, diffuser and wing. Note some of the parts are yet to be mounted for the early pix. It eventually will have a killer show quality finish with a lot of aibrushing (my specialty) The interior Sports VDO Pro series and Cyberdyne guages and the ignition is an MSD 6AL sparking a blaster coil and a Euro spec distributor with pertronix digital kit. Theres more but I hit the high points. I’m still on it but it had its first show and and even got in the 4th of july parade, small towns are great! but at least 10,000 people saw it.
