1976 Triumph Spitfire-Miata

Purchased as a 5.0 V8 drivetrain swap from an ‘84 Mustang GT, including T5 and narrowed rear end. Custom chassis. Widened stock rear steelies. Factory hardtop. The 5.0 was just too big for the car (a number of engineering problems compounded by the aesthetic choice of a stock, uncut bonnet), I yanked it and am in the process of installing a 1.8L Mazda BP engine and transmission from a ‘94 Miata. In addition, the front suspension is getting reworked with Miata bits.
