This is my grip racer. I’ve pretty much taught myself how to fix and work on cars for the last four years with this one. I haven’t really worked on anything else except this car. I’m very happy with the results! This is just my first time out on the track, but everything felt great! The car was very responsive and balanced, I could initiate steering with ease, and the throttle was used for fine control! (^_^) At no time did I feel the car was out of control, but I did feel that I could go even faster. I have spherical bearings at most major suspension joints, but since this is a daily driver too, I have not been able to pull the hubs and have poly-bushings installed in the carriers yet. The motor has not been touched yet, except for maintenance purposes. I did ditch the stock fan for electric and installed a light-weight NISMO flywheel, with fast-revving results! The plan is to build up another RB20DET with some bells and whistles to accommodate higher-revs and a tad more boost, all run off the stock computer modified with NISTUNE. (BTW- This ride is LOW BUDGET! I’m not trying to break the bank, and I’m very “grassroots” in the effort. Also, don’t mind the black FRP bonnet! I plan to repaint the car a “flat satin” red after I collect a new front bumper, and the weather warms up.)
