1953 Sunbeam Alpine…. same car that Grace Kelly drove in the movie “To Catch a Thief”, except that mine has a Toyota 22R engine and 5 speed transmission in it!
1965 Sunbeam Imp MK1. 875cc all-aluminum engine with a Weber 28/36 carb, sport head and cam. The car is very solid and will be enjoy while it is finished.
It’s a Mk 1A built in the fall of ‘66, registered as a ‘67. I’ve had it since ‘77, when I finished off the previous owner’s restoration efforts. It’s mostly stock, with only a few improvements and touches.
Currently under restoration after 26 years of being disassembled! On a rotiss.
