Where could you find a Toyota Supra battling against a McLaren F1 on track? The All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship, of course.
This clip comes from round two of the 1996 season at Fuji Speedway, and it just might showcase one of the raddest collections of high-horsepower race cars ever assembled.

Loved the magazine, Super STreet not as much.
I actually am reading through 3 dozen that I just got shipped to me. I enjoy seeing these 20 year old magazines and the trends at the time. SCC had good tech info too.

What car in there had a sequential? Those would have been reasonably cutting edge in the mid 90's, no? Pretty sure the Mclaren spun because of a poorly timed downshift into turn 1 there, something I don't think a sequential would cause.

the 300ZX was a spare chassis built by Clayton Cunningham Racing for IMSA. It never raced in the US before going to Japan.
