How does tracking a Porsche 904 compare to today's cars

https://www.youtube.com/embed/5l90AkQgVt0

Why did this 1964 Porsche 904 Carrera GTS driven by Briggs Cunningham fail to finish at Sebring in 1966–and why hasn't it been driven on track since?

Pro driver Gunnar Jeannette takes us behind the wheel to explain.

I was there when we made this video. What an amazing car and museum where it lives.

Hi there. Came across this post. My dad was the chief race mechanic for Otto zipper, also maintained this car for Briggs when he raced this car as well as was the head mechanic and maintainimg all the cars when Briggs had his museum in Costa Mesa.

Let me know if you would be interested in talking to him about many details concerning this 904 and many other historic vehicles.

He just turned 90 last week and very fit mentally and physically. Would like to get his wealth of knowledge documented.

Richard van de Water is his name.

I am his son Rick.

You can email me at

Mobilembzspecialist@yahoo.com and I will get you connected with him if your interested.

Thanks. Rick
