Video: Watch Iconic Classics Tear up the 1969 Morocco Rally

The Rallye du Maroc, also known as the Morocco Rally and formally held for the last time in 1988, forced teams to push their cars through some of the harshest and most inhospitable lands found in the Northern African country.

This archival footage from the 1969 running of the event features numerous iconic classics from the likes of Renault, BMW, Opel, Alpine and Citroen driven at the absolute limit.

Definitely. As I understand it, the DS did really well in rally-type driving thanks to its hydropneumatic suspension.
