Despite only catching on in the United States fairly recently, rallycross has been a staple in Europe and the United Kingdom for some time. Case in point: the 1987 Motaquip British Rallycross Grand Prix.
Of particular note are the Lancia Delta S4, the Ford RS200 and the Metro 6R4, whose racing series—Group B—had just been shut down in 1986.
