The saying “worth its weight in gold” is more of a kind sentiment than something to be taken literally, but the stellar prices we’ve seen at auction in recent years had us wondering if any of these cars might as well be made of solid gold. Car values are from Hagerty’s valuation tool; commodity values were current near press time.

I work in aerospace. Aircraft seats are higher than most of the cars on that list.
