Looks like a Plymouth/Dodge Arrow.
Lotusseven7 is correct. They even made a GS model.
I am thinking they couple is in a Fiat X1/9.

This car is featured in the film a little bit more and you are right, it is the Fiat X1/9. There is an ever so brief shot of the model name in the corner of one shot.
