We're big fans of the old Sunbeam Tigers. After all, we did recently spend a lot of time and effort to restore a 1965 example. Today we're shining a spotlight on another 1965 Tiger being sold by Leadfoot Muscle Cars. This one reportedly only has about 19,000 miles on it. The seller says the car comes with a 289 cubic-inch engine under the hood—the engine that came in the later cars—but the car will also come with the 260 cubic-inch engine that this Tiger left the factory with. According to Hagerty, the $78,900 asking price is just above the current value for a number three car of this year. That seems fair for this particular car.

My Tiger was not a recommended daily driver especially compared to my Triumph TR8's. In the mid 80's I sold a Porsche 356B for $6500 and turned around and bought a Tiger for the same price. Both were clean drivers that I drove regularly. To be honest, the 356B was actually more practical, but whoever is buying a Tiger nowadays is probably likely not planning on driving it all that much.
