At first glance, all I could think of was flying an old fashioned egg beater upside down.

After watching it, it is a fairly ingenious and elegant design. The counter rotating makes the thing incredibly stable.

Imagine flying over stop and go traffic as you head to work?

DO WANT!

Looks like it has four engines and two drive each rotor. I guess it uses torque biasing for yaw control. If he could put some bike disc brakes on the rotors and add a chute it could be pretty safe...if it can lift that much. The amount of fuel that can be lifted could be a limitation too.

This is getting me closer to my George Jetson life I was promised back in the day......

Four engines means four times the chance of engine failure…may be able to maintain altitude on 75% power but very doubtful on 50%.

Also, nice location selection…I’m sure those power lines are nothing to worry about.

And half the chance of a rotor losing power entirely. Descending under full power is better than dropping like a rock.

I'd rather have 3 engines than none.

Me wants, super bad. I'd fly it to work every day. Well, every day that wasn't cold or rainy, which would be most days here in Texas.

And I guessing two stroke engines too.

Yes...quite cool, but so many ways it can go terribly wrong.

I have a 12 mile commute to work.. I wonder if it would do 24 miles on a tank?

While this is probably well within the ultralight class, IIRC you cant fly a UL over a populated area without a pilots license.
