Car Catcher: The Wolseley Hornet Is a Luxurious Mini

Do you find classic Minis just too vulgar? Well then, do we have a car for you: This 1968 Wolseley Hornet Mk III will complement your refined tastes nicely. Aside from the obvious visual changes on the exterior, the interior also got more sound deadening and nicer materials in the way of leather. Furthermore, the Wolseley (and Riley Elf) received concealed door hinges and wind up windows before the Austin and Morris examples of the Mini, as well as synchromeshes on all four gears. The Hornet is fitted with the same A-Series engine available on the Mini and, with its added weight, was subsequently slower than a Mini. Find this Wolseley Hornet on offer from eBay Motors with a buy-it-now price of $22,000.

Love the front badge that lights up.

Owned a Wolseley 6/99 and that was a constant talking point.

It's a pretty cool feature. I know many people don't like it, but I love the fact that the new Lincoln Navigator's front badge lights up at night, too.
