Sure, you could say that this 1981 Ferrari 512 BB/LM is simply the racing version of the 365 GT4 BB, but that wouldn't be doing this iconic machine justice.
This particular 512 LM, one of only 16 Series 3 models built by Ferrari, was raced by Luigi Chinetti’s North American Racing Team—most notably in 1981 and ’82 at Le Mans.
The seller notes that the Ferrari received a comprehensive restoration in 2017, backed up by “nearly $330,000 USD of accompanying invoices.”
